Gera is as beautiful as we show it. We, the people of Gera, photograph our city, tell its stories and make it visible to guests and neighbours. A new theme and new prizes every quarter.

Why we do this
- So more people and guests come to the centre and every building sparks curiosity.
- A city becomes beautiful through its people, not through advertising.
- Your pictures become short videos, an exhibition and a calendar – and Gera becomes visible far beyond the city.

Special theme: made by locals
Show what residents have improved themselves: a well-kept courtyard, a balcony full of flowers, a restored façade, a mural, a tidy playground. These entries get a bonus from the jury.
How to take part
- 1
Pick one place in Gera: a building, a square, a view.
- 2
Photograph it at least 3 times from different angles: wide shot, detail, unusual perspective. Portrait format is ideal.
- 3
Upload 3 to 10 photos of the same place – and/or a 10 to 60 second video without music. We turn the series into short videos.

One entry per person per round. Free of charge and no booking required.

Photo of the Year
Chosen from the four round winners of a year: 2 nights for 2 and the cover of the annual calendar.
Places 1–3 are awarded by the jury. You award the audience prize: everyone can vote, one vote per email address per round.
