Theater Gera
The theatre was built between 1900 and 1902 to designs by the architect Heinrich Seeling. It is regarded as one of the finest Art Nouveau theatres in Thuringia.
Gera had grown rich from its textile industry, and this splendid building shows the city's confidence. Drama, opera, ballet, concerts and puppet theatre are still staged here today.
